Aligning with Enterprise SBF

Just wondering if there are plans to bring the UK SDC Enterprise Solutions Build Framework into CodePlex and align all this guidance and make them consistent? Would also be helpful to get info on how development with biztalk, sharepoint, commerce server etc can fit into these folder structures and how the SBF versioning etc can help when developing with these products.

Sorry this is out of scope and we have no plans to do this

Which parts are out of scope? SBF? BTS/MOSS development ?

(a) if its SBF, fine. Its just going to be very confusing for developers out there to have an SBF that is , for now, incomplete but seems intended to be used for setting up folder strucures, build processes etc and then have a VSTS guidance that has overlapping points but no link between the two. Dont forget that the SDC build tasks have been moved here to codeplex and since the task set is an MS resource as well there would be legitimate questions on how this could be used with VSTS, TeamBuild etc.

(b) if BTS/MOSS is out of scope that would be a real pity because we do need some good guidance here. Build and deploy processes vary when these products are used (for instance, when using Biztalk, you cannot have a build machine with just the SDK and neither can you run tests without deploying the artifacts first (unless they are just tests for helper components) .. A lot of people would be attempting to use TeamBuild to build and deploy BTS and would run into problems here. At least a 'side project' to link VSTS guidance with BTS/MOSS development would be useful.

Anyway, in the absence of either of the above, would you at least put a clear scope on the front page saying what it is you are going to address and what you are not going to deal with.
